Material Handlers: Loading (Full-time)
At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR Certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.
We are currently seeking reliable and motivated Material Handlers to join the Loading Desk team within our Warehouse Department. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy hands-on work, providing customer support, and who demonstrate the drive and potential to grow into future leadership roles within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist customers and accurately pick products for their orders in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure the accurate and seamless reception, verification, and processing of incoming shipments.
• Load and unload shipments safely and efficiently.
• Operate required equipment, including motorized lift equipment, in compliance with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Previous material handling experience is a strong asset; however, on-the-job training will be provided.
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and knowledge of lumber and building materials are considered assets.
• Physically fit with the ability to bend, reach, and repetitively lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail with effective time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to provide professional, courteous customer service and work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated initiative, reliability, and a willingness to learn, with the potential to advance into a supervisory or leadership role.
