Delivery Drivers: Class 5 – One-Ton Vehicle (Full-time)
At E.G. Penner Building Centres Ltd., a COR certified supplier, we strive to be the premier building, home improvement and design centre in Southeastern Manitoba.
We are currently hiring Class 5 Delivery Drivers to join our Transportation team.
Key responsibilities:
• Delivery of products, using a one-ton vehicle, over established routes and to new construction sites.
• Correct loading and unloading of vehicles,
• Recording of delivery information,
• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections ensuring overall vehicle safety,
• Operating the delivery vehicle in a safe manner, obeying all rules of the road, and following all company policies and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications:
• A valid Class 5 driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract are required.
• An air brake endorsement and Forklift/ Moffat experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lumber and building materials is a definite asset.
• Physically fit with the ability to lift repetitively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with customers and co-workers in a professional manner.
